Chapter 3 Vocab Words



1.Mischief- n. conduct or activity that playfully causes petty annoyance
The two cats were known as being mischief, because they always play playfully.




2.Radically- adj. in a complete or basic manner; thoroughly; fundamentally
I radically used antibiotics to cute my sickness.





3.Timidly- adj. lacking in self-assurance, courage, or bravery; easily alarmed; timorous; shy
I timidly asked my mom what was wrong.






4.Scurried- v. to go or move quickly or in haste
llamas scurried over on the other side of the road, whenever a oncoming vehicle was coming.

5.Feverishly- adj. excited, restless, or uncontrolled, as if from fever
I feverishly gave the blanket to my mother.






6.Thrashing- n. a flogging; whipping.
The thrashing pain was so unbearable.






7.Badgered- v. To harass or pester persistent
I saw a badger on the street.




8.Relentlessly- adj. that does not relent; unyielding severe, strict, or harsh; unrelenting
I relentlessly trained my video game character.






9.Scorched- v. To burn superficially so as to discolor or damage the texture of
The man scorched the top trees.






10.Tactic- n. a system or a detail of tactics.
A sample of the tactic shows the things on a body.







11.infuriated- v. to make furious; enrage.
I was infuriated at what I found out.
